This professional grade durable Impact Punch Down tool is used for inserting wires into punch down blocks, patch panels and keystone jacks making network installations easy and trouble-free. It can be used for Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a Network Cables and more.
With this impact punch down tool, you can insert and cut terminations in one simple operation. All you have to do is adjust the impact force setting to LO or HI according to thickness of conductor wire. Once the impact force is triggered an internal spring mechanism produces the kinetic force to set the conductor down into the metal prong contacts to complete the electrical connection. Typically, you would use LO for 24AWG conductor wires (Cat5e) and HI for 23AWG conductor wires (Cat6 or Cat6A).
The Impact Punch Down Blade tool comes with two blade types, 110 and 66, with cutting and non-cutting sides. The 110 blade is used for Category 5 and above Ethernet terminations. The 66 blade is most typically used for Cat3 (voice/telephone) punch down blocks.
One side of blade is used for seating wire and the other side it used for both seating and terminating wire. When not in use, the blade tool head is easily removed with twist and lock sockets and can be conveniently stored inside hollow handle for safety.
This punch down tool also provides two swing out tools, Spudger/ Screwdriver for general use and Hook to easily grab wire and safely remove it if conductor is improperly punched. These features make for the perfect installers tool and at Satmaximum we believe in making your job easier.
